Let’s talk about our grandchildren, alright?

Because Matsuri Hino is being infuriatingly vague about the true parentage of those two (The motherfucker. Was an ending with no loose ends too much to ask?), I think it’s up to the readers to decide who, exactly, are their fathers.

So. Let’s talk.

If you talk about it physically, evidence suggest that Zero has the son and Kaname has the daughter. The guy looks like a spitting image of the vampire hunter, and the girl has the Kuran coloring - although from this vantage point it looks like the girl has Zero’s eyes (although it’s probably just the lighting).

But then you can argue that Zero fathered them both and the girl took Yuuki’s genes while the guy had Zero’s. Which, for obvious reasons, I am banking for. 

I want a full brood of Zeki kids, dammit. Two isn’t enough, asdfghjkl.

But at the event that (I hope not) Kaname did fathered the girl, I can confidently say that the girl is still a Kiryuu.

Why? Let’s go back to this scene right here:

“This is a message from my mother to my other father.”

I’m saying that the girl is a Kiryuu because of the what she herself said. To my other father. She’s practically said that while Kaname was asleep, the girl had spent the last thousand years with another father.

Which is obviously none other than my favourite silver haired hunter.

This girl qualifies as a Kiryuu because, even though a different blood runs through her veins, she grew up with the fact that Zero have been taking care of her along with Yuuki and that their relationship is a close one because she called Zero her father.

I mean, if Zero didn’t treat her as if she was his own daughter, she would have said, “This is a message from my mother to my father”, right?

And I’m willing to bet that her last name is Kiryuu too. Let’s face it, the evidence that Yuuki and Zero were a married couple is that boy standing right there. Zero doesn’t strike me as the type of guy who does things half-assed and bangs a girl without marrying her first unlike some people I know.

WOULD HAVE YUUKI, SWEET CHARMING BEAUTIFUL FIERCE ROMANTIC YUUKI KURAN, LET ZERO INSIDE HER PANTS WITHOUT HIM PUTTING A RING ON HER FINGER FIRST?!

I though not.

“Though we’ve quarreled seriously many times… I’ve received a lot of happiness from Zero.”

JUST LOOK AT THOSE TWO. LOOK AT THEIR SMILES. UGH. THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN THE PERFECT PARENTS EVER. NO WONDER THE DAUGHTER TREATED ZERO AS HER OWN FATHER.

Sorry, my feels are still overflowing. Although it had some loose ends, I’m happy with the ending - the Zeki endgame contributing about my opinion too. Add up the Rukain ending, then my feels are BOOM.
